Which pen would you rather use?

For some reason, the left picture is how I view credit unions and the picture on the right is how I view cool banks like Umpqua, or in this case, Commerce Bank. Maybe flashy things attract me, but I think I know where I’d rather go to bank.

Now that is awesome! (And those wiry, triangular pens are always out of ink … or gone!)
Hmm, what if they had these:

What would it take to have MaPS bring back the quill and inkwell?
…straight-up class is what that is.
I loved the old pens at Portland Teachers Credit Union (now OnPoint Community). They were big orange and black things. They had three sides so they didn’t roll and no caps! They were pretty ugly. But this is why they were brilliant.
You saw those things everywhere in town. Merchants loved them because….they didn’t roll, and most people wouldn’t walk off with them. You couldn’t go to a restaurant, grocery store, salon, health club, etc without seeing one. And then people would pick it up to use it and say, “That’s MY credit union.”
PTCU put them out in barrells. When I heard they were changing their name (and I knew these pens were going bye bye) I made a trip down to the main branch to help myself to a bucket load.
Someday you’ll see those on E-Bay…….
@Denise – Yeah, those were cool pens. Ugly for sure, but that’s what made them cool. We’ve got the same thing going on with our MaPS pens. Relatively inexpensive, simple pens that are kind of sparkley and glittery. But they are everywhere!
@Brent – I think we may still have some of those laying around…
MSCU’s pens are pretty boring. Plain old BIC click pens with our logo and contact info. People steal them all the time, but I don’t ever see them around town

Strobing LED pens anybody?
