Forum’s 2008 Partnership Symposium

So William beat me to the punch and Forum Solutions already updated their website, but in case you haven’t heard I’ll be speaking at the symposium this year! My topic is entitled Solutions to Meet Member Needs (or something close to that) and I’ll speak about some of the ways MaPS Credit Union has taken a problem or a need of the credit union and turned them into a CUSO opportunity.
And now after getting some more info today, I’m a little scared. Not only is Shevlin going to be there, but he will be interviewing the speakers right afterwords and facilitating the audience participation and questions! Hopefully I won’t be putting this up on my blog, but you never know. In addition, the level of speakers participating this year is phenomenal and I can only hope to live up to Tim’s awesome presentation last year! If memory serves, nearly everyone used Keynote last year, which was very pretty, but I’ll be sticking it out with my Vista laptop and Powerpoint, or maybe some fancy mind map thing like Doug did. I just have to picture everyone in their underwear, right?

Once you get going and start pounding the podium it won’t matter if it is Keynote or flash cards.

I fully expect Ron to Shevlinate™ every speaker at least once. He won’t feel he’s done his job unless he does that. I feel that I got off lucky that I was Shevlinated™ only once (I think) during a two hour lunch with Ron. Congrats on getting the spot in the line up!

The juvenile in me is excited to have the opportunity to heckle my Twitter buds…the professional in me knows, however, I will spend the entire Symposium listening in awe to some of my industry heroes.
What a great speaker line-up…can’t wait!

I hope I can make it this year. My thanks to FORUM and Trabian for offering something so compelling…and yet priced to allow a “bootstrapper” to be “a part of…”.

I like to think I paved the way for being Shevlinated (read publicly humiliated) at last year’s FORUM Partnership Symposium. I don’t plan to repeat in 2008. I’m too busy building a credit union standard for Net Promoter Score!! (down but not OUT Ron!!!)
I am, as Ron so eloquently put it….a mere Consultentainer…not a trained debater.
